Welcome to The Curtis
Home's Elderly Program, serving the needs of the aging and their families since 1884. Over the past decade, we have
continually responded to the changing needs of those we serve. However, one tradition has
remained constant - our commitment to quality care. Our programs serve older persons by
providing a secure, healthy living environment with attention to the social, emotional,
psychological, physical and spiritual needs of each individual. Our
Meriden Campus is a large wooded site that was designed by Frederick Law
Olmstead, the renowned landscape architect. The
mission of The Curtis Home is: To provide support to the elderly
in our care to assist them in pursuing their highest level of independence. In the Elderly Program, we accomplish this mission through an integrated continuum of services. From the independent living available in our Crown Terrace Apartments, to the full time nursing care provided in St. Elizabeth Center, our residents enjoy the security of a warm, home-like environment and caring staff. Our comprehensive recreation program offers an interesting choice of social, cultural and educational activities both on and off our campus. Our 19th century Victorian dining room is a wonderful blend of the old and new, offering delicious, healthful meals served family style in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Our therapy professionals provide the comprehensive services necessary for successful recuperation from an accident or illness. Skilled hands and caring hearts encourage each person to reach his or her full potential. |
