Skilled Nursing Care
Skilled nursing care at The Curtis Home provides 24‑hour support. Our team manages complex medical needs, such as wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, and chronic disease management, under the direction of our Medical Director. We care for and monitor our residents through a completely intergrated electonic medical record to avoid hospitalizations and assure residents receive the right level of care in a familiar, supportive setting.
Rehabilitation
We offer exceptional physical, occupational and speech therapy that support the needs and quality of life our residents. We are committed to delivering resident-centered services that maintain the residentss activities of daily living and well-being while minimizing the risk of declines.
Veterans
The Curtis Home is proud to be one of the few skilled nursing homes contracted with the United States Department of Veterans Affaris. If you are a Veteran and in need of skilled nursing or rehabilitation, please contact our Admissions Department.
Diagnostic Services
Our diagnostic services partners help your care team quickly understand what’s going on with your health so they can choose the safest, most effective treatment. We provide onsite Imagining, Laboratory, and Wound Care Services that address your condition and care needs
Palliative Care
Palliative care at The Curtis Home focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for residents with serious or life‑limiting illness. Our team and Hospice partners work with your doctors and family to manage pain and symptoms, support emotional and spiritual needs, and help with important care decisions.
Recreation & Entertainment
We have partnered with Connecticut's premiere behavior health group that provides a full range of pharmacological, psychological, and behavioral health services. Our residents are cared for by a team of licensed psychologists, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners to address and treat their care needs.

Dining
Our Dining Service provides selective menus and nutritious meals to meet the dietary needs of our residents, served in a comfortable and social dining room setting.
Recreation and entertainment at The Curtis Home is designed to keep residents active, engaged, and connected to others. Our team offers a variety of daily and weekly activities, such as music, crafts, games, exercise, religious services, and special events. We tailor activities to different interests and abilities so every resident has the chance to participate, build friendships, and enjoy a sense of purpose and fun in everyday life.
